Yoga at Early to Bed

I have some GREAT news for you!

Correction! I have FOUR PIECES of GREAT news for you!

Amy Dancing

Yah. It’s THAT GOOD.

Great News #1) Searah (owner of Early to Bed) and I have scheduled not ONE, but TWO yoga classes in her beautiful women-owned sex toy store located in the Andersonville neighborhood. Join us on Sunday, June 22nd and Sunday, September 22nd.

Great News #2) We totally respect your need to sleep in and/or have a Bloody Mary on Sunday mornings so we’ve moved the class from 10:30am on Sunday to a much more reasonable 6pm on Sunday.

Great News #3) Yoga is still sexy. I wrote about 5 ways yoga can make you feel sexy awhile back. Perhaps you have some to add?

Great News #4) Not only is THIS HAPPENING. Not only can you still have your mimosa. Not only can you get your sexy on. You can also support the Chicago Women’s Health Center while nourishing your body and using a dildo or sex-positive poster as a gazing point. A portion of the proceeds of Early To Bed Yoga will go to benefit the CWHC. OMG! I KNOW!

I asked my friend (and role model . . .  srsly) Stephanie Goldfarb of Seven Species and America’s Best Cook fame to tell me why she’s involved in the CWHC:

“I got involved with the CWHC a few years ago after one too many horrifying experiences at my ‘regular’ doctor. Something about being told that I wasn’t in need of a breast exam because I am queer really got me thinking about how marginalizing health care can be for us non-normative folks, and how terrifyingly uninformed many providers are when it comes to our bodies. The Chicago Women’s Health Center gave me the opposite of that experience. When I went for my first appointment, I was literally made a partner in my own health care. No joke, the health care worker offered the speculum to me so that I could insert it myself. And she talked to me before she touched my body. Every single time. I never felt more safe, more understood, more empowered in any other medical setting in my life. I became a board member only months after my first visit, and happily spend many of my free hours working to support and sustain the incredible work being done there.”
